Cheshire Councils fail in legal challenge to PFI cuts

A Judicial Review claim against the government’s decision to withdraw £100m of credits from the household waste PFI in Cheshire has failed. Viridor was named preferred bidder for the contract in November 2010. Cheshire West & Chester and Cheshire East Councils appealed the decision made by the department for environment, food and rural affairs

Work starts on Viridor’s new headquarters

Contractors have moved onto the Firepool site in Taunton to begin construction of Viridor’s new headquarters.
