Pennon has award-winning Annual Report

November 24, 2011

FSTE-250 Pennon Group plc , Viridor’s parent company, has received an award for the improvements made to its Annual Report.

At the Investor Relations (IR) Society annual best practice awards dinner held on Tuesday 22nd November in the Pavilion at the Tower of London, the IR Society recognised those companies which have implemented an outstanding programme of corporate reporting in the last twelve months.

Investor Relations is the communication of information and insight between a company and the investment community, and the Investor Relations Society’s mission is to promote best practice in investor relations; to support the professional development of its members, representing their views to regulatory bodies, the investment community and government; and to act as a forum for issuers and the investment community.

Pennon Group received the award for the Most Improved Annual Report at the sell-out event, which attracted almost 450 IR professionals.

Chairman of The Investor Relations Society, John Dawson said: “What an excellent array of winners this year. Last year saw a high standard set and we are pleased to see that the bar has been raised even further in 2011.

“The purpose of the best practice awards is to continually drive up standards in investor communications and we will continue to deliver this objective into next year and beyond”.
