Refuse Collection Vehicle Incident at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth

It is with regret that the company confirms that a Viridor collections services driver has died following an incident involving one of its vehicles at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth this morning.

The incident occurred at 0715 on June 8. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles or people appear to have been involved in the incident.

The company is working closely with the authorities and a full investigation is underway.

Our deepest sympathies are with the driver’s family, friends and colleagues.
