Where Does My Waste End Up?

February 5, 2019

Where does my waste end up?

As a business, you have a legal responsibility to know where your waste goes and whether it is being treated properly.

As part of your service, your supplier should ensure the waste streams they deal with have a clear disposal route.

Your supplier should be able to be transparent in processing your waste and should be able to provide evidence with full audit trails.

Your supplier should also supply a Duty of Care as a legal responsibility, using Waste Transfer Notes (WTN), or in the case of Hazardous Waste; Hazardous Waste Consignment Notes (DWCN), to ensure these standards are met every time.

If you don’t know, you should ask.
